Detailed answers about how fasting timers, nutrition logging, habits, the journal, the Vitality Score, Lux and Quies Pro+ subscriptions work.
Quies Pro is a personal record-keeping and reflection app for adults 18+. You log your fasts, meals, habits, sleep, mood and journal entries, and the app shows that data back to you in summaries, charts, and reflections. It is not a medical device, not a clinical service, and not a substitute for advice from a qualified health practitioner.
Go to the Today page and tap the "Start" button on the orbital timer. Choose your fasting protocol (e.g. 16:8, 18:6, 20:4) and the timer will track your progress through each metabolic stage.
Quies Pro supports all common intermittent fasting protocols including 16:8, 18:6, 20:4, OMAD (23:1), and custom durations. You can set your preferred protocol from the timer screen.
Tap "Me" in the bottom navigation, then go to Profile. You can set your personal details (age, height, weight, sex), activity level, diet mode, calorie goals, and target weight.
During your fast, your body progresses through metabolic stages: Settling In (0–4h), Glycogen Burning (4–8h), Fat Burn Starting (8–12h), Fat Burn Active (12–14h), Peak Fat Burn (14–16h), Autophagy Rising (16–18h), and Deep Fast (18h+). The timeline on the Today page tracks your progress.
Yes! While a fast is active, tap the start time displayed below the timer to adjust it. This is useful if you forgot to start the timer at the actual time you began fasting.
When you end a fast, the app logs the session with your actual fasting hours and asks you to log your mood. Completed fasts contribute to your streak, insights, and weekly report card.
The "Since Last Fast" counter shows how long it has been since your last completed fast ended. It helps you plan when to start your next fasting window.
Go to the Nutrition page and tap "Add Food" under any meal section (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks). You can search for foods by name and the app will auto-fill calories and macros.
You can set a custom calorie goal from Profile → Adjust Calories/day, or let the app suggest one based on your age, height, weight, activity level, and goal (lose, maintain, or gain weight).
Quies Pro supports Balanced, Low-Carb, High-Protein, Keto, and custom macro splits. Change your diet mode from Profile → Adjust Macronutrients.
Tap the Water quick-log button on the Today page to add 250ml per tap. You can customise your daily water goal in Profile → Water Habits.
Daily Wins on the Nutrition page track your water glasses, vegetable servings, and fruit servings. Tap an empty slot to add one, or tap a filled slot to undo it. The goals reset each day.
Yes! Simply tap on any filled water glass, veggie, or fruit slot and it will remove the last entry. This works for all three categories.
Go to the Habits tab to create custom habits with daily or weekly targets. Mark them complete each day and track streaks and completion rates over time in Habit Analytics.
The Vitality Score is a weekly composite score (0–100) that combines your fasting consistency, nutrition adherence, sleep quality, hydration, exercise, and mood into a single wellness metric.
You can log your mood via the quick-log strip on the Today page, or after completing a fast. The app tracks mood trends over time and correlates them with your fasting and nutrition patterns.
Yes. Log your sleep duration and quality score from the Me page. The app reflects sleep patterns alongside your fasting and mood logs so you can spot connections in your own data.
Add tags to any entry by typing #yourtag (e.g. #energized, #cravings, #headache). Tags are clickable and the Tag Explorer aggregates stats per tag — average mood, fasting hours, and hydration — so you can spot patterns in your own data.
Wrap any phrase in double brackets, e.g. [[best fast]] or [[low energy]], to create a link. Other entries that mention the same phrase are connected automatically and appear in the Backlinks panel of that entry.
When viewing an entry, the Backlinks panel shows every other journal entry that links to it. This helps you trace recurring themes — like every reflection that connects back to "[[late dinner]]".
Each day, Quies Pro can auto-create a journal entry pre-filled with your live health snapshot — fasting hours, water intake, mood, and sleep. It removes the blank-page problem so you only have to add a quick reflection.
The Tag Explorer lists every tag you have used and shows aggregate insights — e.g. entries tagged #headache average 1.2L water and 5.8h sleep. It turns your journal into a personal health detective.
The Knowledge Graph (Quies Pro+) is a visual, force-directed map of all your journal entries and how they connect via tags and wiki-links. It is your personal health story — a constellation of your reflections over time.
Yes. When you create or auto-generate an entry, Quies Pro captures a health snapshot (fast hours, hydration, mood, sleep) at that moment. This powers tag analytics and pattern detection over time.
Lux is the in-app reflection companion in Quies Pro. Lux mirrors back what you have logged — fasts, meals, sleep, mood, habits, journal entries — and asks gentle, open questions. Lux is not a coach, dietitian, nutritionist, psychologist or clinician, and never gives medical, dietary or mental-health advice.
Lux follows a dignity-first safety doctrine: never shaming, never urgent, never crash-diet language. Behind the scenes Lux privately calibrates tone using your logged height/weight (a body-context hint that is never shown to you and never quoted as a number). If your stated goal conflicts with that range — for example "lose weight" while in an underweight range, or "gain weight" while in an obese range — Lux will gently suggest you speak with an Australian GP or an Accredited Practising Dietitian rather than validating the direction.
Lux can summarise your fasting patterns, surface trends across sleep or mood logs, reflect on recent journal entries, and help you find features in the app. Every AI-generated surface in Quies Pro ships with a visible disclaimer reminding you it is reflective only and not medical advice — fully within the TGA "excluded software" positioning for record-keeping tools.
Yes — Lux is available to all users with a daily message limit. Quies Pro+ unlocks additional reflective surfaces such as meal idea browsing, weekly reflection cards, and an AI-generated daily quote.
Tap the orange chat bubble in the bottom-right corner of any screen. You can drag it anywhere, expand to full-screen, and pick a category (Fasting, Nutrition, Movement, Sleep, Reflection, App help) to see suggested prompts. Output is generated text and can be wrong — never rely on it for any decision that matters. Read the full disclaimer at /disclaimer.
Lux will pause normal reflection and surface support immediately: Butterfly Foundation 1800 33 4673 (eating disorders, free), Lifeline 13 11 14 (24/7 crisis), Beyond Blue 1300 22 4636 (mental health), 13YARN 13 92 76 (Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander). In an emergency, call 000.
Quies Pro+ unlocks unlimited habits, barcode food scanning, a recipe idea library, additional health log fields (resting heart rate, glucose, ketones), body measurements logging, the full Vitality Score, and priority access to AI reflection features.
The Founder plan is a one-time launch offer for the first 499 members: $59 AUD/year for life (it stays $59 on every renewal as long as your subscription is active). After the 499 spots are gone, new members pay the standard rate of $99 AUD/year. Both plans include the exact same features — Founders just lock in the lower price permanently as a thank-you for backing Quies early.
AI features (Lux chat, meal ideas, wellness coach, daily quote) are generous but governed by a fair-use policy to keep the service sustainable for everyone. Pro members get high daily caps that comfortably cover normal use. If you ever hit a limit you will see a clear in-app message telling you when it resets (midnight local time). Limits exist to prevent abuse and runaway costs — see clause 6A of our Terms at /terms for the full policy.
After 7 days you will be charged the annual rate of $99 AUD (or $59 AUD if you joined on the Founder plan). Cancel any time before the trial ends and you pay nothing.
Yes! You can switch between monthly and annual plans at any time from your profile settings.
You can cancel your Quies Pro+ subscription at any time. Your premium features will remain active until the end of your current billing period. Contact support if you need help.
Go to Profile → Notification Settings and tap "Enable Push Notifications". Your browser will ask permission — tap Allow. If you previously blocked notifications, you'll need to enable them in your device/browser settings first.
This means your browser or device has previously denied notification permission for Quies Pro. Go to your browser settings → Site Settings → Notifications, find Quies Pro, and change it to Allow. Then return to the app and try again.
Quies Pro can send push notifications for fasting reminders, milestone celebrations, habit check-ins, and wellness tips — even when the app is closed.
